Dr. Adriana can provide you with as much support as you need. In the beginning, we recommend more frequent follow-ups, about every 3-4 weeks as you establish your holistic health foundation. As you recover your optimal health we can check in once or twice per year.

After each appointment, Dr. Adriana will provide a recommendation for your next follow-up. You can of course schedule a follow-up sooner if you prefer.

Insurance companies, unfortunately, may not reimburse for or support the necessary testing and treatments we perform to help you reach your optimal health. For this reason, Dr. Adriana does not contract with any insurance companies. All payments are due at the time of service.

That being said, with some health insurance plans, especially PPO, you are often able to apply some of the lab testing and in-office visit fees towards your deductible. After the deductible is met, you may receive coverage for a portion of the fees.

We are happy to provide you with an itemized superbill to submit to your insurance to apply these costs towards your deductible. We will provide this superbill after receiving payment for the appointment.

A comprehensive blood panel is recommended at least once per year to help Dr. Adriana get a thorough view of your health status. These panels are commonly run through LabCorp or Quest, which may be covered by PPO insurance plans.

However, much of the testing we perform is done through specialty labs. While these added testing protocols do give us more information on your health, they are not covered by insurance. To help minimize the cost to you, we will provide you with the opportunity to review your invoice prior to ordering any tests.

Some insurances may fully or partially reimburse you for appointment fees and diagnostic functional lab testing, while others will not. We are more than happy to provide you with a super bill for appointment fees and functional lab charges for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

At this time, Dr. Adriana is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri. If you are a resident of Missouri, all appointments can be made virtually. If you are not a resident of Missouri, we will need to first establish care in-office during your initial appointment and subsequent follow-up appointments will be available via phone or video. For video appointments, Dr. Adriana uses a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine module integrated with our EHR.

The initial consultation with Dr. Adriana is $369. This includes a wholistic health intake, the hour consult with Dr. Adriana, and a personal holistic health plan. Follow up appointments range in cost $111-$369 depending on the work you do with her.

Dr. Adriana requires that you have a primary care physician (PCP) who can support you if any urgent concerns arise since she does not take calls and responses from the office may take up to 72 hours. If you are in need of a PCP, we are happy to provide you with referrals upon request.

If you are requesting short-term disability insurance (SDI) or other medical leave from work, Dr. Adriana can provide a letter of support to your PCP. However, she cannot complete the necessary forms given that this is a small practice.

Dr. Adriana prescribes a limited scope of medications. These primarily include thyroid hormone and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Outside of BHRT and certain supplements, she does not prescribe controlled substances (i.e., Xanax, Ambien, Adderall, etc.).

Dr. Adriana works primarily with adults, but in some cases will also work with teenagers.

At this time there are increasing laws around protecting client privacy and health information (HPI). Thus we have to ensure that our medical records, phone, video lines used for appointments, and all messaging are done in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

To remain in compliance with HIPAA, Dr. Adriana will also need you to provide an authorization form (provided by our office) if you would like her to discuss your case with another provider.

If you must cancel your appointment, we request that you do so within 48 business hours (i.e., Monday appointments must be canceled by Thursday). Your first cancellation made with less than 48 hours will incur a $100 charge, the second cancellation will cost 50% of the appointment fee, and beyond that, the full appointment fee will be charged without notice given in the requested time frame.
